The Beautiful Life of Terry de Gunzburg

Picture Perfect
De Gunzburg, who splits her time between London and Paris, is currently at work on her fall color range. An avid art collector—"I have the privilege to own a Francis Bacon," she says—she finds creative inspiration in everything from a La Traviata aria to Leonardo da Vinci. "A lot of inspiration comes from paintings," she divulges. "I'm working on very dark tones of burgundy and dark browns for my next collection, because I went to the National Gallery for the da Vinci exhibition. The day after, I went to my lab and I tried to translate what I had in my emotional memory. I work like that."
