highlights for a little soul saving

Outside of the occasional overly chatty stylist and, of course, the astronomical prices, the worst thing about highbrow salons is that most of them are closed on Sundays—much to the chagrin of those in need of a post-Saturday-night-debauchery blow-out. To further set themselves apart from the competition, the John Barrett Salon’s bevy of talented colorists, stylists, and eyebrow groomers function at full power on the Day of Our Lord, offering their services—and stellar views of Central Park South—to the most religious beauty junkies. As a bonus, the Susan Ciminelli Spa (also on the ninth floor at Bergdorf Goodman) keeps the same 12 to 6 hours. Amen to that.
