New Mascara Deals a Lethal Blow

August 26, 2008  4:35 pm

No, your eyes aren’t deceiving you: That is indeed a mascara wand, not a mace, pictured at left. Designed as a weapon for crafting exceptional lashes rather than committing acts of brutality, Givenchy’s new Phenomen’Eyes spherical brush sets out to prove that when it comes to defining, elongating, and completely covering your lashes, the world is indeed round. Seeking to revolutionize the current mascara technology that relies on brushes that are flat, stiff, and pointed, Phenomen’Eyes’ unique shape helps avoid that awkward series of hand movements usually required to effectively wrap each lash in rich, glossy formula. The ergonomic design also allows you to actually coat the root of your lashes while extending product to the tip, emphasizing the lash line and giving off the appearance of a lined lid—a deadly combination, not unlike the effect of its medieval predecessor.

  2. this is the next one on my list. Just tried EL’s TurboLash and while I like it for lengthening, I’m not sure how much the vibration has to do with it. Can’t wait to try this one.
