What are the main differences between Botox injections and cosmetic fillers?
Botox injections are used for expression lines, the lines caused by muscular contractions. Botox relaxes the facial muscles, softening and smoothing these expression lines, and is generally used in the upper portion of the face, in the forehead, between the brows, and around the eye area. Cosmetic fillers are frequently used in the mid-portion of the face to sculpt and volumize the jaw, lip, and cheek areas.
A board-certified member of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Dermatology, Dr. Fredric Brandt has practices in both Miami and New York City and has established himself in the beauty world not just as a physician but as an artist, known for his innovations in helping patients sculpt a younger appearance with a variety of non-invasive procedures.
