It’s A Styler, Not A Straightener

September 9, 2008  1:50 pm

Yes, it’s one of the best flat irons around, but it’s much more than a straightener. Proving its worth as a multifunctional miracle worker backstage at Proenza Schouler yesterday, where it was used to create slight, 1920’s-style waves, the ghd IV flattens, curls, bends, and could probably replace a bunch of cumbersome objects typically associated with your hair routine. Not convinced of the ceramic plates’ versatiltiy? The company has anticipated your naysaying (true genius is typically misunderstood) and launched a Web site to preach its gospel with blogs from its stylists, an image gallery full of looks that you can in fact create with just the one tool, plus step-by-step instructions on how to get results. Go on. A few trips to Chapter 2’s “Looks Collection,” and you’ll be a believer yet.
