imitation is not always flattering, apparently

Looking to capitalize on what is a bona fide consumer craze, Vogue International, the manufacturer of haircare brands like Organix and Fx Special Effects, is apparently working on a new shampoo meant to mimic the look, brand identity and success of Glacéau’s popular vitaminwater. Vitamin Shampoo, as the line is cleverly called, will be packed with vitamins and superfruits like acai-berry guava and goji-berry green tea, and is touted as having the same antioxidant properties you get from your daily consumption of insert-favorite-vitaminwater -flavor here. The drink company isn’t all that keen on the idea, however: Upon further investigation, we discovered that Glacéau is actually suing for copyright infringement, and asking for a temporary restraining order to halt the hair care company’s progress. That should give Vogue International some time to work on that tagline they’re currently going with: “Think of it as energy for your hair.” Come on, now. You can do better than that.
