Like, Totally Awesome Facial, Fer Sure!

With an increasingly buzz-worthy reputation for mixing choice beauty and fashion at their Lower East Side boutique Valley, sisters Nina and Julia Werman—transplants from the 8-1-8—have been bringing well-edited designer pieces, dead stock vintage, and the best nail art this side of Tokyo to the 2-1-2 since opening their store almost three years ago. This month, the sisters will introduce their Orchard Street faithful to facials, Valley style. “We’re very discerning customers ourselves, so we wanted to offer something you can’t get anywhere else,” Julia explained of the new service. To ensure that they could actually provide that level of quality and exclusivity, Nina poached her own facialist, Emma Graves, from Ling, and acquired Graves’ line of holistic skincare, Between You & the Moon, in the deal. Graves’ magical hands are something to behold (she’s got that rare ability to perform tons of extractions, without leaving red, post-treatment battle scars). Three different facials, plus a host of àla carte options, will be on offer. Add to this the Wermans’ knack for nurturing a “lounge” environment—with granola-topped açai bowls to snack on while you peruse the merchandise—and the experience promises to be as unique as they had hoped.

Valley is located at 48 Orchard Street, between Grand and Hester streets. For more information, call (212) 274-8985.
