The Brows Of Your Dreams, By Design

October 24, 2008  6:09 pm

For those of you who took our advice and hopped on board the lash extension train, prepare yourself for some more mind blowing. The same kind of face-changing miracle service that you never knew you needed is now available for brows as well. “It makes you look ten years younger,” Cindy Barshop, owner of the Completely Bare Hi-Tech Spas, insists of the brow extension service she’s offering at her new Bond Street location. Women are starting to drop by in droves to get the “Barshop brow”—a thickened, sculpted, lengthened, and arched piece of brow mastery created with individual hairs, color-matched and glued into the natural brow line. “First we do a wax, and then our aestheticians draw out the shape so clients can make sure they like it,” Barshop explains, adding that there have been more than a few requests for Brooke Shields’ eye-framing forehead fringe. “If you don’t have any brow at all, this isn’t for you,” she advises, however, pointing out that the service “enhances” natural lines, but isn’t enough to create something that isn’t there to begin with. But if a little augmentation is what you’re after (and let’s be honest, who isn’t?), it’s worth the $500 (which includes a consultation, full set, and initial touch-up) for two weeks of Blue Lagoon caliber brows.
