Agyness Deyn’s Quantum Leaps

At last night’s CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund fifth anniversary dinner, Agyness Deyn seemed to have emerged from some kind of confused time machine. Pairing an anachronistic Marc Jacobs Spring ‘09-style hat with all the elements that make for good, classic Hollywood glamour—a darkened brow, red lips, white liner on the inner rim of the lower lid and black liner on the top—Deyn also sported bronzer that teetered dangerously close to “heavy handed,” resembling 1980’s cheek contouring. Was this jarring to anyone else, or is the general consensus that she has carte blanche at this point to dabble however she sees fit?
