Clarins, Eggleston On View At The Whitney
November 7, 2008 5:39 pm

As you’ve likely already read, The Whitney Museum’s William Eggleston show officially opened to the public today, bringing the iconic work of the arbiter of color photography to the masses in his first-ever American retrospective. At last night’s opening reception, however, Clarins revealed a picture-perfect display of its own. One of the event’s sponsors, the French cosmetics company took the opportunity to exhibit products from its new Instant Beauty Perfectors Emergency Kit on the tall, statuesque, MaxMara-clad models who were greeting partygoers at the door. Designed to achieve a flawless finish when used together or on their own, the brand’s Instant Light Complexion Perfector, Eye Perfecting Base, Natural Lip Perfector, and Perfecting Touch are now being packaged with its Wonder Volume Mascara, Double Fix Mascara, and Shine Stopper, serving as somewhat of a catch-all to remedy any beauty mishaps you might encounter. The models were also wearing washes of a shimmery purple on their lids from Clarins Eye Colour Quartet in Earth, a seasonal staple—and perhaps an homage to the master photographer’s vivid images.
