Side Ponytails On The Red Carpet: Yea Or Nay?

We don’t want to influence your opinion either way but thought we’d show you this picture of actress Monique Curnen at the AFI Festival’s screening of Che this past weekend to let our feelings be known. (Nay, dear God. Nay.) We are willing to hear arguments from the opposition, however. Any yea-sayers willing to make a case?

  1. ok it’s looking a little i got out of the shower, put it in a ponytail, and it dried this way. If it had been better groomed, she would have looked less dallas cowboy cheerleader.

  2. this side ponytail…….no way!!!!
    but I have seen some good ones before…this one is too stiff and tight.
    I like it when it is soft and more or so just resting over the shoulder.

  4. Side pony really doesn’t work for the red carpet. It might be ok if executed in a more formal style, but this look is too casual. In general though I’m a HUGE fan.

  5. I’ve only seen it looking good with smoother, sex kitten hair with a bit of volume and some artistic wisps framing the face. oh, and the hair tie/ribbon has to be seen from the front. I could be wrong, but it looked good when I saw it last (admittedly on a 16 yr old). This looks a god awful mess. sorry.
