Bobbi Brown Says, Ask And You Shall Receive

December 11, 2008  10:41 am

Whether it’s an attempt to draw people out of their recession reclusion, a gesture of goodwill for the holidays, or a genuine customer-appreciation initiative, Bobbi Brown cosmetics is offering free makeup lessons to anyone who wants them. Seriously. None of those “the first ten people to show up with this coupon” or “enter to win this sweepstakes” scenarios. No, for a limited time, you and everyone else you know are eligible for a totally free lesson in face-painting mastery. Just stroll up to a Bobbi Brown makeup counter near you, with or without the voucher at left, and, well, ask. For a list of stores and locations, visit www.bobbibrowncosmetics.com.

  1. I can’t recall having seen this approach before, but it seems smart. It is nice to offer free makeup lessons. But I’m sure the company is also hoping that people so love the products used that they end up buying at least some of them — or that they make purchases out of obligation, because the sales associates spend time on them.
