CoverGirl and Bebe, For Color That Lasts

We’ve always loved a lip stain. They’re sophisticated without being dated, lush without being ostentatious, and if you can find the right shade for your skin tone, there’s nothing sexier than a matte-finish berry-hued pucker. So what’s preventing a universal embrace of this oft-overlooked makeup tool? Two things: application fears and the ever-looming issue of price point. Women frequently find themselves shelling out close to $30, only to wind up with serious color bleeding issues and a lingering feeling of defeat. CoverGirl is addressing both issues with its new Outlast Lipstain. Designed like a felt-tip marker and priced at a mere $7.29, these pens allow for unprecedented control—this is not an overstatement; their user-friendliness is something to behold. The six vibrant colors, including a sheer red-orange that’s the perfect mix of complex-casual, won’t officially be in stores until January, but CoverGirl has partnered with Bebe this weekend only to give shoppers one free lipstain with a $100 purchase while supplies last. Tips from CoverGirl celebrity makeup artist Molly R. Stern will also be included, just in case staying inside the lines was never your strong suit.
