Organic Beauty Gets Its Own Glossy

December 31, 2008  1:30 pm

Despite what you may have heard about the grim future of print magazines, Sovereign/Homestead Media is banking that increasing growth in the natural beauty sector will bring it publishing gold when Organic Beauty hits newsstands this week. A bimonthly magazine that aims to serve as the authority on everything related to natural, eco-friendly, and organic beauty, the new glossy will inform women about green alternatives for everything from products to plastic surgery. The premiere issue introduces actress Olivia Wilde as cover girl and includes a feature story with the House star about living green at home and at work. In addition to profiles on innovative and trendsetting naturophiles, every issue will also include regular features like “Global Beauty,” which will cover treatments and tips from around the globe; an “Eco-Style Diary” of beauty, fashion, and style trends; and a column about “Problem Skin” along with organic remedies for results. We are officially intrigued.
