Pillow Talk: The End of Fine Lines and Wrinkles

December 31, 2008  1:15 pm

After expressing concern over a few burgeoning smile lines, my facialist proposed that I start sleeping on my back to prevent them from getting any deeper. As an avid side sleeper, I found myself in something of a quandary: How do I maintain optimal nocturnal comfort while thwarting these increasingly-visible-to-me facial imperfections? Buy new sheets, apparently. New York-based textile company London Luxury LLC announced this week that its SkinGlow bedding—which is clinically proven to smooth and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and crow’s feet in just four weeks—will now be available exclusively at select Bed Bath & Beyond stores nationwide. Using Cupron Inc.’s dermatologist-tested copper technology, a copper oxide compound is permanently bonded to the textile fibers of the brand’s pillow protectors and comforters and is then activated by moisture released from the body during sleep, a process that allegedly keeps skin looking smoother and younger. The fiber treatment is also reported to retain efficacy even after repeated washings, and is moderately priced to boot: The collection ranges from $19.99 to $249.99.
