The Dark Days Of Winter

December 9, 2008  12:35 pm

Scarlett Johansson’s new medium brown was in full effect at a Berlin photo call last night for her upcoming movie The Spirit, looking even darker than usual with a fresh blow-out. Seeing as how we just made a similar move, from dark brown to, well, darker brown (when you’re olive-complected with black eyebrows, your color options are limited), we support her seasonal shift, although we wonder if you think it takes away from her bombshell appeal (we’re pretty sure her draw at the box office isn’t based on acting ability alone). As an aside, if you’re considering making a similar move, going a shade or two darker in the winter months will actually add shine by depositing pigment on weathered strands. The subtle color change also allows for minimal maintenance; you can essentially just let it grow out and your natural, lighter hair will be ready for spring.

  1. I hear you! I often dream of sporting relaxed beach girl peroxide blond hair with noticeably dark roots, but with olive skin and dark eyebrows it’s a little hard to imagine. Sigh.
