The Organic Pharmacy Lands In Los Angeles

In your wildest tree-hugging fantasies, have you ever imagined a neighborhood drugstore filled with organic-only lotions, elixirs, and personalized herbal remedies for whatever ails you? Such a place exists, although until recently, it was only accessible to naturophiles on the other side of the pond. A few weeks ago, however, the first stateside outpost of Britain’s The Organic Pharmacy opened in Los Angeles—and if it takes off, there should be more U.S. locations to come in the near future. Stocking custom-blended creams, created in small batches with herbs and oils sourced by co-founder and trained pharmacologist/homeopathist Margo Marrone, the new 1,000-square-foot space in Beverly Hills also offers luxurious organic facials and an on-site clinic staffed with trained homeopaths and pharmacists who bring a holistic approach to all of your health concerns. It’s a concept that should put large retail chains on green alert and could give “filling a prescription” a whole new meaning.
