Aveda’s Path To Embrightenment
January 30, 2009 4:32 pm

A word to our dry, blotchy sisters struggling to keep up appearances in the throes of winter’s icy grasp: February is looking brighter. In just a few short weeks, Aveda’s new Embrightenment line will hit stores, bringing with it a four-step daily regimen (plus twice-weekly mask) to help you enter the new, hopefully less bleak season with a brighter, more even complexion. In true Aveda fashion, the six-piece collection is infused with powerful plant actives and an intoxicating aroma of organic lavender, sustainably sourced sandalwood, organic rose geranium, and organic rosemary essential oils, so it soothes the senses while diminishing the appearance of dark spots by exfoliating and hydrating the skin. The cleanser, toner, serum, lotion, cream, and mask are formulated with 99.7 percent naturally derived ingredients, too. Brown algae helps reduce visible discolorations, while the line’s proprietary blend of scutellaria (a perennial herb), mulberry root, and grape extracts joins forces to enhance radiance. They’re clinically proven to perform in eight weeks, so if you get a hold of the products when they hit stores on the 15th, you should be looking pretty fantastic by the time the hoods and scarves come off in April. Ugh, we know. Two more months of cold seems like an eternity to us, too.
