Backstage At Valentino, The Dream Team Does It Again

Seeing as how we’re big fans of the hair and makeup team that is Pita and McGrath (that would be Orlando and Pat, respectively), it’s not all that shocking that we liked their handiwork at the Valentino Couture show. But we were caught off guard by just how much we liked it. First of all, there’s that flawless complexion, with just the slightest touch of color on the cheekbones for contouring. Then there’s that fearless execution of color on the eyes—signature McGrath— featuring a glistening shade of metallic sapphire with a slight smoky finish and a thin black line at the lashes. But mostly, we found ourselves fixated on the lip—a skin-matching nude whipped up with a few layers of concealer and a quick swipe of high-shine gloss, the perfect canvas for Pita’s simple, sleek samurai knot. Dynamic duo, indeed.
