How can I treat broken capillaries, like the ones that have formed around the crease of my nostrils?
These are fairly easy to treat with a laser, but please find a doctor or medi-spa that has performed this treatment many times, as selecting an expert with experience is important. The procedure feels like a very warm rubber-band snap as the heat from the laser cauterizes the capillary, shrinking it down. Depending on the size of the affected area, you may need several treatments, and unfortunately, this condition can come back over time.
The creator and director of her own medi-skin clinic in Los Angeles, Kate Somerville has spent over 15 years working with top dermatologists and cosmetic surgeons to promote the integration of skincare and medicine, helping to pioneer the field of paramedical aesthetics and lay the foundation for the medi-spa industry. A best-selling eponymous product line and cult celebrity following keep her one of the most trusted names in skincare today.
