I’ve had a few different facialists lecture me on the importance of treating my décolletage as diligently as I do my face. Does this area really need special attention, and if so, can I use the same products on it that I use on my face?
Yes, this area does need to be treated, and in general, with most of my clients, I find the neck and chest are more sensitive. One reason is that there are less skin cells per square inch in these regions. I do recommend putting the serums and creams that you’re using on your face onto these areas, but if you notice a reaction, the product may be too active for this more sensitive area. If that’s the case, research a product with fewer active ingredients, or a lower percentage, and use it on the areas.
