When we first met Arlenis Sosa backstage at fashion week last September, the barely legal Dominican model had just made two huge career moves: the first was signing on to open and close Oscar de la Renta’s Spring presentation and the second was inking a deal with Lancôme to join its all-star cast of brand spokeswomen, which already includes one Daria Werbowy. Five months later and one more to go before her first international ad campaign for the French beauty company debuts worldwide, we caught up with the 20-year-old on the set of Lancôme’s new online how-to videos, in which makeup artist Alex Sanchez uses Arlenis’ face as the canvas to apply the perfect foundation, lips, eyes, and cheeks. While there was still a small language barrier to overcome, we found the full-browed beauty to be genuine and sweet—and as excited about her favorite Lancôme products as ever. They include Juicy Tubes, Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover, and the brand’s new Ôscillation mascara, in case you were wondering. As the face of Lancôme’s new La Laque Fever Gloss, she should really consider adding the pigmented lip color’s Digital Berry shade to this list: We’ve never seen someone wear deep fuchsia so well.

I absolutely hate when hey ask models/clebrities whta’s inside their makeup bag because its useless. they are contractually obligated to ONLY mention the brand that they are crrently representing. how boring. next time please ask a model/celeb who is not under contract. tired of hearing the same cosmetic giant brands mentionning their new products.
