At Issa, An Ode To Alice Dellal

February 24, 2009  4:35 pm

Perhaps taking a page out of Phillip Lim’s backstage beauty book, Issa designer Daniella Helayel seemed to be channeling a single face or a single haircut at her presentation yesterday. She sent half of her models down the runway sporting a tight braided bun, positioned high and askew; the other half received “the Alice Dellal,” an optical illusion inspired by the model’s half-shaven head, presumably created with hair spray and bobby pins. Dellal herself walked with what looked to be a fresh fade on one side and a new dye job—with complimentary extensions—on the other. (We miss the dirty blond, thanks.)
