Isabeli’s Permanent Makeup

If you’re a diehard Isabeli Fontana fan—and we know there are more than a few of you out there—you’re aware that she and her two (visible) tattoos are members of the elite squad that we are dubbing “models’ ink,” not to be confused with the ill-fated Aaron Spelling production of similar name. Counting Freja and Tasha Tilberg among her compatriots, Fontana has an ankle bracelet of branches that’s frequently on view perched upon a pair of strappy stilettos, as well as a less visible larger piece between her shoulder blades of two angel wings encasing the word “Zion.” We saw it a few times yesterday and had to ask the Brazilian beauty what it means: a Rastafarian promised-land reference? A tribute to the Matrix trilogy, perhaps? “It’s my son’s name,” she told us when we inquired—a way better response than the two we’d come up with.
