Jemma Kidd Makeup School, In Session—And In New York

March 2, 2009  11:29 am

If you’ve ever toyed with the idea of taking a makeup class to learn the inner workings of liquid liner, proper mascara wand holding techniques, and the challenging world of face contouring, this week is the week to take action. Starting on Wednesday, London’s famed Jemma Kidd Academy brings its master class to New York for a three-day engagement. Designed to teach aspiring professionals (and those of you who have never progressed beyond those formative years of misguided red lipstick and blue eye shadow application), the two-hour seminar will cover the art of perfecting skin, face sculpting, and how to tastefully incorporate this season’s brights trend into your routine. Taught by Kidd’s director of education, David Horne, the $50 reservation fee buys you a lifetime of skill—and is redeemable in product (go for the Dewy Glow All-Over Radiance Crème; it’s a personal favorite). Dates and locations are listed below.

March 4, 4 to 6 p.m.

Bloomingdale’s SpaceNK Soho, 504 Broadway

Arrive prior to the class.

March 5, 5 to 7 p.m.

Bloomingdale’s SpaceNK 59th Street, 1000 Third Avenue

Arrive prior to the class.

March 6, 5 to 7 p.m.

SpaceNK Soho, 99 Greene St.

Call (212) 941-4200 to reserve your spot.
