Marc Jacobs, Fragrance Icon

WWD reported today that Marc Jacobs—designer extraordinaire and reviver of the kilt—will be honored at the Fifi Awards on May 27. Jacobs, who took home the Fragrance Foundation’s top honors last year, winning Fragrance of the Year for his Daisy Marc Jacobs scent, will get the Hall of Fame award this year, following in the footsteps of Vera Wang, who was the 2008 winner. Seeing as how Jacobs has only really been at the base note game for a decade, one can only imagine the ways he’ll influence the beauty industry in the future—a color cosmetics range, perhaps?
