Mary-Kate Grows Up, Goes Glam

Turning in her signature straggles for a head full of ringlets at the Metropolitan Opera’s 125th Anniversary Gala last night, Mary-Kate Olsen added red nails, red lips, and a peachy smoky eye to a new dramatic look that somehow managed to straddle both the forties and the eighties trends at once. Do you support this move toward sophistication, or do you prefer her more boho, homeless-chic beauty incarnation?

  5. I did love her bohemian-chic look, but i must agree, boho girl has to grow up at some point. Her outfit looks fabulous , except I’m not a fan of the eyeshadow or hairstyle.

  24. I love it! this look is a bit more glam- a little cleaner, but its not polished. the look- particularly the hair and the eyes are still care-free and a little messy. Its sexy/sassy and it suits her perfectly.
