Behind The Tear Sheet

Everything’s Coming Up Scarlett

April 16, 2009  4:28 pm

Maybe it’s just me, but Scarlett Johansson’s pouty lips and perfect nose are so commonplace in magazines these days, I’m almost tired of seeing them. Her latest stint as Paris Vogue cover girl did catch my eye, though, if only because I was surprised to see the newly auburn-haired actress gracing the pages of the typically edgy publication, which I considered out of her league (apparently not). Inside, it was business as usual: Scarlett in suggestive poses wearing some form of a corset/bustier, with plenty of T&A. There was one point of difference, though. That smoky matte gray shadow and perfectly pink natural lip came courtesy of the new Dolce & Gabbana makeup collection, for which she serves as campaign star. The line hasn’t made its way stateside quite yet (look out for it this month at Saks in New York and Beverly Hills), so we were legitimately excited to see it in action. Thoughts on the look—and Johansson’s seeming ubiquity?

  1. If that isn’t a diss on SCARJo I don’t know what is!
However, the makeup is exquisite if I do say so myself. Cant wait to see it in reality on my eyes and lips *kiss

  2. I once read a movie blog refer to her as Scarlett “Aren’t My Tits Fantastic?” Johansson. I found it fitting. Has anyone seen the girl actually act?

  3. I find Scarlett irrestibly beautiful. maybe i just wish i had curves like she does. but right here her makeup is well done accenting her new do’ nicely. and as far as acting, i thought she was just cute, not fantastic in vickychristinabarcelona.

  4. she can’t act to save her life, and I actually think her looks are overrated, too. But this is one of the better spreads of her I’ve seen.

  6. I’ve never understood the hype over her. There are much better breast on much prettier faces. She is a horrible actress her voice grates on my nerves. She was the worst thing in Vickie Christina Barcelona.
