We’ve taken on a new attitude these past few days of gray skies and endless-seeming downpours: If the sun won’t come to us, we’ll just do our best to simulate its absent glow on our own. Enter Givenchy’s new summer range, which was designed, its press release explains, with the intention of creating “gilded skin.” The collection of warm, shimmering tones includes a limited-edition eye shadow quartet, sun powder, compact powder, and two different lip glosses, as well as a Mister Bright Sun Touch of Light Pen and Glow to Wear Satiny Body Enhancer, our two favorite pieces in the line. The pen works as a bronze highlighter to brighten eyes, cheeks, and even lips if you’re into a metallic pout, while the body enhancer, which can be worn alone or combined with a moisturizer or oil, adds a touch of beach-y glimmer to skin. We’re actually wearing both of them right now, shaking our fists toward the cloud-covered sun, and boldly declaring, “Who needs you, anyway.”
