At Chanel, Green Is A Go

OMG a thousand times over, exclamation point, exclamation point. We just received word that after much speculation by this blog and every other Chanel nail polish-loving media outlet the world over, Peter Philips’ dreamy jade lacquer from the brand’s Fall 2009 collection has indeed gone into production and will be released as a limited-edition offering in October. It will be joined by a Jade Rose shade as well, although we’re a bit more excited for the original minty green that we spied back in March. It might just be the next frenzy-inducing color in the company’s long line of cult favorites that have helped carve out the politics of polish. More on that when our new The Look feature goes live on Friday. Get excited.

    I’ve bought so many effing bottles of nail polish to compensate for the gaping hole in my collection where this shade should be. Definitely pre-ordering.
