Bobbi Brown says, “Go Nude”

Shocking as this may seem seeing as how we’ve only just begun to scratch summer’s surface, Fall color collections start to hit makeup counters next month. While we’re not quite ready to delve into the season’s plum, burgundy, and jewel-toned palette just yet, there are a few offerings that will serve us as well now as they will when September rolls around. First on that list is Bobbi Brown’s new Nudes Collection. “Nude makeup doesn’t mean monochromatic, barely-there makeup. It means makeup that’s right for your skin,” says Brown. To this point, she’s created a neutral range with options that flatter every tone. A Shimmer Brick with pearl pigments in pink, gold, bronze, beige, and caramel creates a “lit from within” glow; four new shades of Creamy Lip Color in Soft Blush, Rose Bud, Rose Garden, and Twilight provide just the right amount of subdued color, and a new Long-Wear Eyeliner in Caviar Ink (a deep brown) offers precision and an easy-glide gel-based formula. The standout in the collection, as far as we’re concerned, is a new Eye Palette (pictured at left) that consists of pretty much every matte and shimmer shadow you might consider applying to your lids (Maple Sugar Metallic? Yes, we will). Look out for it online and on shelves next week.
