Origins’ Sunny Contingency Plan

June 22, 2009  3:52 pm

With permanently gray skies adding to the already dismal economic climate, everyone could use a little pick-me-up these days. For its part, Origins is facilitating small doses of cheer with the addition of two new products to its Gloomaway collection, which is based around grapefruit essential oil, a favorite tool of aromatherapists, who use it to calm nervous exhaustion and produce a happy, balanced environment. Beginning next week, the line’s body wash/bubble bath, body-buffing cleanser, body soufflé, and bath bar will be joined by a spirit-lifting body mist fortified with field mint and sweet orange oil. A jar of sparkling citrus gumballs will also hit shelves to round out the sensory experience. No, they won’t completely cure the combined concern of a dwindling bank account and that burgeoning vitamin D deficiency, but every little bit helps.
