Behind The Tear Sheet

January Jones Gets Skintimate

July 27, 2009  12:35 pm

The Mad Men fans among you are no doubt counting the days until the August 16 premiere of season three. But if you just can’t wait until then to get your fix, we suggest picking up a copy of the August issue of Interview magazine, the cover of which features one January Jones. Interviewed by Jack Nicholson, the actress talks life, career, and her unusual name—”It’s from a book called Once Is Not Enough by Jacqueline Susann,” she told Nicholson. “I could’ve been an actress, a superhero, or a stripper.” In the Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin-shot portfolio, Jones models a gravity-defying mass of hair, not to mention some serious lashes and a flawless complexion, courtesy of makeup artist Lisa Butler. While we’re sure the magic of Photoshop was employed just a bit to complete the illusion of perfection, Butler used Temptu’s airbrush foundation to give Jones the right amount of dewy coverage, sans cake-y finish.
