Makeup Bag Check: Sienna Miller

July 28, 2009  11:03 am

Sienna Miller is back in the spotlight these days—on the press junket, not in the tabloids—making the international rounds for her role in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. For the film’s Tokyo premiere, she accessorized her Gucci suit with a face full of Chanel cosmetics courtesy of makeup artist Kate Lee, who was trying to give Miller a “subtle version of Jerry Hall/Helmut Newton.” That meant using a medium gray matte shadow for a toned-down smoky eye, sculpting the cheekbones with Chanel Powder Blush in Fresque, and painting on a nude lip with Chanel’s Rouge Allure in Instinctive. We prefer Jerry Hall’s red-lip legacy, but the Helmut Newton nude pout seems to be working just fine. What do you think?
