Makeup In The Third Dimension!

July 13, 2009  6:09 pm

Ever willing to stretch the limits of artistic expression, Dazed & Confused has a 3-D fashion editorial in its new August issue. Dimension-transporting glasses are included with purchase, which presumably make model Julia Hafstrom leap from the page in a series of Marios Schwab designs. However, we’re more interested in her seriously futuristic makeup, which seems to skirt the line between the Bowie-style backstage look from Viktor & Rolf’s Spring 2009 presentation and the bright purple shadow from Gucci’s Spring print campaign. Sadly, we are sans image-enhancing spectacles at the moment but are wondering if the same larger-than-life effects that are visible on the page are equally mind-blowing on the screen? (The complimentary set they’ve been giving out at screenings of Up will likely work just fine, in case you don’t have access to the imported glossy.)
