“Maybe It’s Maybelline,” Now A Definite

July 17, 2009  2:30 pm

It’s official: After much speculation, Maybelline announced today that it will indeed assume makeup sponsorship duties at the Tents for the Spring shows this September. Fielding face-painting teams led by its global makeup artist, Charlotte Willer, the number-one-selling makeup brand in the world—and the purveyor of a few of our go-to drugstore staples—has signed a two-year deal that puts it in the interesting position of witnessing the last round of shows at Bryant Park and the first installment of the collections once they move across town to Lincoln Center in 2010. MAC, which has sponsored the event for what seems like an eternity, will presumably move downtown, if the Milk Studios speculation proves true, which means we will now be trekking between venues with increased frequency to bring you all the latest backstage news. (Thank goodness for Taxi TV.)
