The Rise Of The Brow Beaters
July 16, 2009 3:42 pm

If you were enamored of the curiously browless backstage beauty look from the Fall Balenciaga show or happen to count Terence Koh—all forehead, circa 2008—among your style icons, you’ll be happy to know that you are officially on trend, according to The New York Times. The newspaper is reporting an increase in brow shaving and bleaching for stylistic purposes. Although we can’t say we’ve witnessed said phenomenon on the street level quite yet, we are definitely willing to suspend our disbelief and accept that its trickle-down effect is in fact coming. (Stranger things have caught on.) Would you go there?

Not a chance. Can you imagine the ghost of Frieda Kahlo front row?

By FrancoiseZooey on 07/16/09 at 8:37 pmI am NOT a fan of this look and I certainly hope that it doesn’t hit the mainstream. I have always loved dark eyebrows! In fact, I have considered dying mine darker a few times. It will be interesting to see where this trend goes!
