Australia has never really been on our travel short list. It’s not that we’re uninterested in its opposite weather patterns, vast outback, and curious marsupial species; there are just other places we’d probably choose to spend our very infrequent vacation days first (the Greek Isles are our current obsession). More and more people have been singing the country’s praises recently, though, especially Melbourne and its envious quality of life and thriving cultural scene. And so, with our curiosity piqued, we perused the first round of images from the city’s Spring fashion week, where samurai buns and brightly colored smoky eyes appear to be on the agenda for next season. (We like where your head’s at, Melbourne.) To give the look a test run during the few weeks of bold-makeup-appropriate weather we have left here in the Northern Hemisphere, brush on a few wand strokes of Vincent Longo’s new shades of Liquid Shadow in Silky Orange and Sweet Magenta and smudge liberally.
