You Say Tomato, I Say Tomato Rhubarb

August 21, 2009  10:00 am

In the dog days of summer, when a glistening layer of sweat seems to be a permanent accessory, spritzing yourself with your favorite fragrance can sometimes feel dizzying. Instead of perfuming your skin, why not perfume your house instead? But skip rich vanilla and smoky patchouli scents—they’re far too heavy for humid temperatures. I’ve found that Space NK’s Life Candle in Tomato Rhubarb is just right for a New York August. When lit, the lush, herbaceous, slightly tart scent fills my shoebox-sized apartment with an aroma as delectable as food cooked with the same starring ingredients. Pretty amazing, considering takeout is often the only thing on the menu.
