Origins Scores By Going With The Grain

Recently, I conducted a little experiment. I had a birthday party for a friend of mine and put out some beauty party favors—makeup swag I had lying around from last season that needed to find a new home. Of everything on offer, the face products seemed to garner the most attention, confirming the recent shift from lipstick to foundation as the one product women can’t live without. Mineral makeup was the first to go, and whether Origins was aware of my empirical data or not, it is spot on trend with its Multi-Grain Makeup. Essentially mineral makeup 2.0, the line of full-coverage powders fortified with the wholesome goodness of finely milled grains and nutritious oats is kind of like Cheerios, for your face. The talc-free formula is enhanced with organic oatmeal to soothe and moisturize dry skin and absorb excess dirt and oil while rice flour, wheat germ, and barley help maintain soft, clear skin. A powerful antioxidant combination of goji berry and pomegranate extract is also included for good, free radical-fighting measure. There’s an additional incentive to head to an Origins counter from now through Saturday, if complexion perfection hasn’t already reeled you in. The brand is offering a free moisturizer starter set with any purchase of a full-size moisturizer through October 3, which is worth looking into, since winter-induced dry skin is, sadly, right around the corner.
