Pop Icons Unite In The Name Of Fashion

As backstage/front-row images from the Marc Jacobs show last night continue to swirl around the blogosphere, one shot in particular—of Lady Gaga and Madonna, side by side—stands out. Looking at the pants-less wonder (in a knee-length dress, no less!), with her orange-red matte lip and curly texturized hair, next to an older, more demure Material Girl, sporting a fresh face, black cat eye, pink gloss, and soft swept back coif, we couldn’t help but register Gaga as an early-eighties Madge, when she too skipped pants, let her hair go wild, and put her own stamp on the statement lip. Can you see it, too?

  1. Drew looks great no matter what she decides to do. She is very brave.
