While makeup artists backstage this week may have pooh-poohed the idea of a season-specific color palette, arguing that there is certainly room for deep, dark makeup in the spring, there’s no denying that the berry pout is a popular choice for fall. Salma Hayek is the latest celeb to join the ever-increasing Bordeaux lip brigade, wearing the shade to last night’s ALMA Awards paired with a rhinestone headband that screamed prom night to us. Whether or not the wine stain will persist into next year is still up for debate, but with London, Milan, and Paris presentations still to come, it very well could prove to be an annual affair.
