OK, OK. We know that we’ve been paying a lot of attention to the no-brow look that has dominated the Spring shows, but here’s a little something for those of you who are decidedly against bleaching, waxing, or glue-sticking your arches for a full-forehead effect. Makeup artist Diane Kendal has been single-handedly championing the full brows of early-eighties fame at big shows on both sides of the pond. We saw (and loved) her Brooke Shields’ tribute at Alexander Wang and enjoyed her feathered surfer girls backstage at Proenza—though we were somewhat floored by the furriness at Chloé yesterday, if only because it was one of the few presentations we’ve seen in Paris that opted for more, not less, brow. Kendal was going for something soft and romantic, which she achieved using brown mascara on a curled lash and blending MAC Eyebrow Pencil in Spiked over taupe-y shadows, like MAC’s Omega and Coquette, for depth. So there ya go. Bigger can be better (and way more user-friendly) after all.
