Lubatti: Secret Skincare Recipes, Available For Your Slathering Pleasure
October 16, 2009 5:47 pm

While Jo Malone has made herself something of a household name by championing “the art of fragrance combining” with her eponymous London-based company, you may be less familiar with her sister Tracey. That is, unless, of course, you are part of the Hollywood elite or English society set who swears by her facials and skin salves. Jo and Tracey’s mother Eileen was a skincare expert in London during the swinging sixties and trained under a renowned homeopath named Madame Lubatti (Scarlett O’Hara, a.k.a Vivien Leigh, was a devoted follower). When Madame Lubatti passed away, she willed her secret hand-mixed skincare recipes to Eileen, who ultimately bequeathed the treasure trove of ingredients and techniques to Tracey. Last month, Tracey finally gifted them to the public with a product range—simply named Lubatti—that includes day and night creams, face and eye gels, and bath and body oils in timeless scents like Tuberose & Mimosa, Bergamot & Grapefruit, and Sweet Almond & Honey. The collection just arrived at Space NK and its pretty, minimal packaging concept etched with botanical drawings makes it a lovely gift idea, in case you’ve started your holiday shopping early.
