Natalie Portman’s Magic Eye

November 25, 2009  10:42 am

Natalie Portman has the rare ability to appear classic and sophisticated or young and playful—depending on her hair and makeup choices. This week, her transformative powers were revealed: It’s all about the eye. The actress sported a low-slung chignon and a liner-rimmed smoky eye to the Cinema Society screening of Brothers on Sunday, and then let her hair down, going sans dramatic eye, at the opening of the New York City Ballet’s 2009-2010 season last night. The peachy Chanel Powder Blush in Narcisse and Aqualumière Gloss in Hirondelle appears to have remained constant, providing a fresh-faced elegance to both looks, but one is definitely more sultry than the other. Which do you prefer?
