The Red Lip, Plain And Simple

Drew Barrymore has entertained a few of the more experimental beauty looks we’ve seen recently, but she still knows how to do classic with the best of them. At last night’s screening of Everybody’s Fine in L.A., the actress paired a glossy red lip with flawlessly clean, velvety skin and brown mascara—a softer way to separate your lashes—and that’s pretty much it. Kudos to her for a perfectly executed exercise in minimalism. What do you think of her version of pared-down glamour?

I may be in the minority, but I’m actually a fan of Ms. Barrymore’s crazy makeup antics. Still, this perfect red lip is breathtaking – she certainly knows how to keep beauty bloggers (and readers!) on their toes.
I may be in the minority, too, but (although a red lip is my personal favorite) I really don’t think that the whole grace-kelly-look is believable on her.
