First Aid Beauty Is Fab

December 9, 2009  2:53 pm

For Lilli Gordon, founder and CEO of the newly launched skincare line First Aid Beauty, function trumps frills. Gordon has collaborated with Dr. Robert Buka, a board-certified dermatologist, to create a six-piece collection that features targeted solutions for a host of common concerns, from acne and eczema to dark circles and redness. Everything is formulated to be free of chemicals, allergens, parabens, and phthalates, and each product comes sans fragrance and artificial dyes, so even those of us with the most sensitive of skin can partake of all the reparative goodness. We recently test-drove the Ultra Repair Cream, which boasts colloidal oatmeal and eucalyptus oil to soothe dryness, as well as the Facial Cleanser, which has a whipped, creamy texture that cleanses without completely stripping the skin of its essential oils, and were pleased with both. They possess that reassuring quality of pared-down prescription products from the dermatologist’s office with the fun packaging of a more boutique-y brand. What can we say? We’re suckers for a great font.
