A Runway To Reality Lesson From Natalia Vodianova
We’ve witnessed lots of extreme beauty at the Couture shows so far: porcelain-perfect faces at Dior, heart-shaped hairdos at Chanel. But the makeup look Pat McGrath created for Riccardo Tisci’s girls at Givenchy—the blocked-out brows, the iridescent black/navy smoky eyes flecked with glitter, the bright red lips—was one of the least street-ready we’ve seen. That is, until this picture of Natalia Vodianova changed our mind. The catwalker kept her makeup on for Tisci’s private post-show dinner party, taking it down a few notches by removing the heavy concealer from her brows to reveal her natural forehead fringe, turning her smoky eyes into thin cat-eyes, and leaving her scarlet-painted lips as is. We love to see a model turn the tips and tricks she gleans backstage into practical skills.
