Bare Is Beautiful

Stars Without Makeup stories featuring glamorous images of A-listers pitted against pictures of themselves caught without cosmetics are a guilty pleasure. But we like to highlight celebrities at red-carpet events who choose to go barefaced as a means of showing that plain can be pretty, too. This week has already offered us two such opportunities, with both Amber Valletta and Rosario Dawson keeping it clean, save for a little bit of gloss and some mascara to open up the eyes. Sure, it’s easy to skip the heavy makeup when you’re a supermodel or one of Hollywood’s most beautiful women, but it still takes a certain amount of confidence to leave the proverbial mask at the door. What do you think of their minimalist approach?
