NYFW Backstage Beauty Alert: Le Métier De Beauté To Sponsor Marchesa

January 12, 2010  5:07 pm

Le Métier de Beauté finished 2009 with a bang and is showing no signs of slowing down in the new year. The niche cosmetics brand sold exclusively at Bergdorf Goodman and select Neiman Marcus locations debuted a smack on-trend, limited-edition palette last fall created in collaboration with Roopal Patel, Neiman Marcus’ women’s fashion accessory senior market editor. Then, in the beginning of December, its Peau Vierge Anti-Aging Complex hit counters equipped with a new technology that makes the antiaging powers of retinol 20 times more effective, and subsequently sold out in one day. More recently, rumors have been swirling that the company is hard at work on a few new collaborations—most notably with Marchesa—and Style.com has just learned that in anticipation of said launches (which will culminate in a micro collection designed with Georgina Chapman due out in 2011), LMDB will replace NARS Cosmetics as the sponsor of Marchesa’s Fall show in February. Get psyched for elegant, well-crafted backstage beauty—and some pretty palettes yet to come, so you can ultimately get the look at home.
